I'm not trying to guilt you, love, only to say that no matter WHAT we do we can't stop it entirely. You know all has been done that we can possibly do. People may die, yes, but certainly fewer than would die had you not given the information that we did to the aurors.

And Miss Sarcelles will come home, I'm certain of it. I still refuse to believe we live in a world were a child can vanish into thin air and not surface eventually.

	Yes, and more would live if there were more trained Aurors out there, instead of having them stuck at desks! Your job is very vital, even now. Besides, your Tweedledum and Tweedledee trainees are out there fighting for you. You've all managed to assure me that they know what they're doing and that they are more than capable. You've taught them well, Hestia, they know what they have to do, and they'll do it.

Perhaps I am an optimist...but as a father I won't make myself imagine another father losing his daughter until I have to. She'll turn up.

Enough. Perhaps it's not realistic but I've seen and heard enough about people in pieces for one lifetime. There's no reason to be so godsdamned pessimistic about the whole thing! I don't want to have to fight Sarcelles when he hunts YOU down for saying such things, no matter how realistic.

I know you're tired of sitting behind your desk, but we can do this. You just have to have a little faith in us, as well as faith for things we can't control, like Macmillan coming back in one piece for Hannah's sake and the Sarcelles girl showing up for her father's.

Oh Hestia, please don't cry. I didn't mean to upset you, or to be a jerk, I just didn't like all of that talk of people dying. I refuse to think after I go about risking life and limb to turn over the information that I know that NO good will come of it. If that were true, if little girls were going to die anyhow and no difference in attacks would be made, it wouldn't be worth the risk.
